Traveling with luxury

One of my favorite activities is to travel. I have made a list that will be helpful for any trip with luxury goods!

1. Do not pack anything of worth in your luggage. This is very important, airport personnel can go through luggage and items can go missing (especially abroad).

2. Try to keep gold, luxury bags, luxury shoes, anything of sentimental value in your carry-on.

3. When storing carry-ons away from your immediate vicinity with luxury goods, keep an eye on the overhead compartment.

4. If you are traveling with a luxury bag (ex. Chanel, Hermes, etc.), try to have it by your side at all times, in a dust bag preferably, airplanes are notoriously dirty.

5. Do not leave your bag unattended. This is more for your bag’s safety and your piece of mind, than someone slipping something into it. You do not want to turn around and have it missing.

6. Do not go to the bathroom on the plane unless you have someone watching your bag; or if that is not a possibility, cover it with a blanket. Taking your bag into the bathroom on an airplane can get messy, it can fall or any other horrible accident can mess it up.

7. Try not to wear too much flashy jewelry on the plane, you do not want to be an easy target when you arrive to your destination.

8. Do not take luxury items if you are going to an unsafe area, or were the population is improvised. You do not want to take this risk.

9. When leaving your luxury items in the room make sure they are locked in the safe or inside your luggage. It’s easy to take something off a table, and a bit harder to have to take an entire luggage out of the room.

10. Always use common sense, keep your purse and luxury items close. Pickpockets can strike at anytime, especially if you are watching your surroundings and not your purse/bags.
