Madrid Day 4: Last Day

In front of Museo Sorolla

Our last day of Madrid was very nice one. We ate breakfast in “Bon Appetit!”, a lovely French style café. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. They made nice coffee drinks and very good breakfast fare (we wish we discovered it sooner).

Beautiful Archangel Michael stained glass

We visited the Museo Sorolla, it was nice, but not a must-see. The museum had a few pieces that were interesting, but if you are on limited time I would recommend Museo Cerralbo, which I can’t emphasis enough how wonderful and interesting it is to peer into the life of a Spanish noble family in Madrid from the 19th century.

After our visit to Museo Sorolla, we stopped by Chanel to see if they had anything that I would love (really only the Black Boy with black hardware in the old medium size (I’m very particular about my big purchases). Unfortunately they did not have the bag I wanted, I made a connection with a sales associate last time and she showed me that they had in stock one mini caviar black with light gold hardware bag, I declined it even though I know that for many people it is a unicorn bag (I just had too many similar bags). I might have gotten it if it was black hardware and preferably a rectangular mini. At the same time I saw a medium/large classic double flap bag in the black hardware but I have a few of the medium double flap bags and I did not think I needed another one. I took a look at the brooches and nothing caught my eye, so I left empty handed.

We walked down to our hotel in the nice warm sunny Madrid weather and enjoyed our last few moments in the city before heading to the airport.

Til next time, stay adventurous and safe!
